The Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH) unit of Youth Harvest Foundation Ghana (YHFG) marks the 2019 Menstrual Hygiene Day (MHD) by educating and building the confidence of out-of-school girls to speak against the stigmatization of menstruating girls. Sanitary pads will be gifted to them to encourage the practice of using proper sanitary materials towards encouraging Menstrual Hygiene Management.
The broad smiles on the faces of young boys and girls of Yagzore and Sekoti communities brought fulfillment to the team of YHFG staff and nurses at the Menstrual Hygiene Day celebration. The interaction enabled them to appreciate the need for good hygiene practices and to do away with myths/misconceptions of menstruation.
