Project related publications
To be a relevant partner in youth development work, it is essential to have a solid knowledge-base. Knowledge about youth development in a broad sense and in-depth expertise is neccessary to design and implement evidence-based interventions as well as to provide input for our communication efforts to mobilise donor support for our youth development work.
A continuous scientific evaluation of the implemented programmes and projects is crucial as the assessment of the actual intervention models, strategies and approaches helps to improve the work and to develop new methods. YHFG stays up-to-date with research on relevant youth development related topics in education, sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) of young people, skills development and furthermore sustainable farming and market access.
YHFG strives to deepen collaborations with academic institutions and researchers, development aid organisations and public institutions in youth development. YHFG can provide technical assistance or take on a technical support role to strengthen youth development components in broader development programmes. Ways of developing knowledge and expertise lays in data collection and analysis, making research easily accessible, establish and adapt new methods and procedures that deliver results more effectively and efficiently, reviewing academic articles, positioning the organisation as a sounding board to researchers and other development agencies and initiating own studies on specific topics.
