Donor information
As a registered non-profit organization (registration number VR 3956) JugendPartnerschaft Ghana e.V. is according to §5 I 9 KStg. and under the tax number 47025/13780 exempt from corporation and trade tax.
Donations directly to JPG are tax-efficient in Germany and we will send a donation receipt to donors who provided us with their name and address. We cannot guarantee that these receipts will be accepted by any authority outside Germany.
We are registered with Transnational Giving Europe (TGE) and can receive donations through TGE from many European countries. The national partners of TGE are able to issue tax-efficient donation certificates but will keep 5% of the donation to support and expand the TGE network. How are your donations spent?
The work of JPG in Europe is carried out by active members on a voluntary basis. We make sure that all donations are employed directly for the projects in Ghana. JPG has very low overheads* in Europe (currently <2.5%), which are funded entirely by donations which have been explicitly dedicated to this purpose. The use of the funds by YHFG is monitored by local finance authorities. JPG receives regular reports that we have to present to the finance office in Freiburg.
